Travel Grants offered by the German Crystallographic Society (DGK)
The German Crystallographic Society (DGK) is offering early-career scientists the opportunity to apply for travel grants: graduate or postgraduate students of a field related to crystallography at a university or scientific institution who are interested in attending XTOP 2026 may apply for one of three DGK travel grants of EUR 200 each.
The application deadline for the DGK travel grant is 1 June 2026. Further information on eligibility, required documents, and the application procedure is available on the DGK website.

Travel Grants for Early-Career Researchers supported by the International Union of Crystallography (IUCr)
We are pleased that the IUCr is supporting Early-Career Researchers who wish to attend XTOP 2026 in Karlsruhe with Travel Grants of 200 Euros each to cover travel and accommodation costs.
Eligible applicants are Early-Career Researchers who hold a Master’s Degree or a Doctoral Degree obtained no more than five (5) years ago, preferably with an academic background in the field of crystallography. Academic interruptions, including periods of parental leave, are considered.
Please send your application to xtop2026∂kit.edu using the following subject line: “IUCr Travel Grant Application”. The application should include the following information and documents:
- title of the Master’s Thesis or Dissertation
- a brief Curriculum Vitae, and
- a list of Publications.
